Frankly said, I have not known yet why I liked to get this 1974 Ford Escort MK1 2 doors so much. I even loan money from a BankThai. After that, I contacted Mr. Kaew, the seller, to make an appointment. Then, my mother and I went to Nakhon Phanom. We left Bangkok at 6 o’clock in the morning by Airbus. Our trip was quite torturing as the bus picked up all passengers at roadside. Totally, we took 14 hours for the trip and arrived in Nakhon Phanom at 8.00 pm. Mr. Kaew waited for us at the bus station. As we were very hungry, we took noodles as our dinner. We then went to the house of the car owner to sign the sale contract. The house of the car owner is the spare parts shop. There was a trivial problem as I forgot my copy of house registration but the problem was solved at last. Since the rear mirror was totally broken, my mother tried to negotiate for a discount but failed. After that, we stayed at a nearby new hotel. In the morning, I went to the spare parts shop again to take some photographs and found that he had a lot of old stuffs, which were partially sold to Bangkok customers. Our return trip was very wonderful. I drove the 1974 Ford Escort MK1 2 doors to Bangkok as the ex-owner informed me that the car was still in the good condition. As I drove too rapidly, see that I could reach Sakolnakhon within the first 200 km, the engine was overheated. I had to take arrest and fill the water to the radiator all the way. The fuel gauge was out of order, so I had to estimate the distance by myself. Worse than that, I got lost! I had no map, so I had to ask people along the way. When arriving in Nakhon Ratchasima where there are hills, I wrongly calculated the fuel quantity. Then, the engine was stalled. However, as it was only 50 meters from a petro station, I could release the car to the fuel nozzle in time. So, this was the most torturing trip of my life.
